Opera, a popular Norwegian technology firm that specializes in web browser development and fintech applications, announced Wednesday the addition of support for eight more blockchain networks into its in-browser crypto wallet.The move is part of the company’s continued effort to introduce Web3 to more than 380 million mobile and desktop users worldwide. Opera believes Web3 has to be easy to use in order to reach its full potential and a mass adoption," said Jorgen Arnesen, EVP Mobile at Opera. "The Opera Crypto Browser Project was built to simplify the Web3 user experience that has often been bewildering for mainstream users. It brings together all the information users need to both learn about and stay up to date on, the world of crypto. The non-custodial wallet supports plenty of other cryptos too like Ethereum, Tron, Celo, and Bitcoin. In March, Opera launched in-browser crypto wallet support for eight blockchains: Solana, Polygon, Celo, Nervos, Ronin, StarkEx, Bitcoin, and IXO. It will offer Opera users in-browser access to another 3000 Dapps on the network. It is yet another adoption implemented by Opera. Among its features is a news and data aggregator called Crypto Corner, a dedicated start page with live crypto information and updates, crypto asset prices and gas fees, as well as crypto events, airdrops, and even podcasts. Opera is a web browser that supports web 3.0 and it recently announced a browser integration with Polygon. "Built for crypto experts and novices alike, it provides a streamlined and comprehensible user experience with decentralised apps (dapps), games and metaverse platforms, so that no one, including our friends on Macs and iPhones, is left out," it added. The Opera Wallet, which supports the Ethereum, Polygon, and Celo ecosystems for buying, selling, and transferring tokens, is one of the primary features. "The Opera Crypto Browser, for Windows, Mac and Android, is a dedicated web3 browser with a built-in non-custodial crypto wallet," the company said in a blogpost. In the Opera Crypto Browser Project, users gain access to an Integrated non-custodial Crypto Wallet supporting Ethereum, Polygon, and Celo blockchain. The company said that Web3 is gaining further momentum day by day.
